Registration

There are several ways to participate in the North Carolina Youth Institute throughout the year. Students can join a Fall Research Mentoring Cohort or Spring Research Mentoring Cohort for virtual support as they develop their research paper and poster, and all participants register for the in-person North Carolina Youth Institute at NC State each April. Choose the opportunity that best fits your timeline and where you are in your research process.

Our fall research cohort runs from January through April and is designed to fit high school semester schedules. Students have the opportunity to work with research mentors in five virtual meetings and additional office hours. Papers and posters will be submitted in December and April respectively, and all students are invited to attend the institute at NC State in April.
